Collection of mammals

The collection consists of stuffed exhibits of different mammals like: wolf (Canis lupus), Brown bear (Ursus arctos), fox (Vulpes vulpes), badger (Meles meles), Beech marten (Martes foina), Gold marten (Martes martes) and squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris). The Museum had this exhibit mainly inherited from former Natural Collection, without the supporting museological documents.

In the collection there are also the representatives of small mammals, the collection of which was initiated by establishment of the Museum. Presently, it contains the representatives of Chiroptera (bats): Myotis myotis, M. nattereri, M. capaccinii, Pipistrellus kuhlii, as well as some representatives of Muridae (mice): Apodemus sylvaticus, A. mystacinus, Mus musculus.
